The Colossal Spider Web of Molecular Alumni

Open Jobs Company Page

Molecular was a leading internet consulting firm, which helped companies build their initial web presence during the 1990's. The firm was originally called Tvisions and it was founded by Ralph Folz and Thomas Little. The two bootstrapped the firm until they raised $20M in funding from CMGi in 2000.

Over time, Molecular grew to about 140 employees and its services expanded into business process, digital strategy, user experience design, and multi-channel integration consulting.  Isobar ended up acquiring Molecular in 2005 and the company continued to grow from there.

The firm has left a lasting impression on the Boston tech scene, as many of its alumni are in leadership positions in tech companies throughout the Boston area. Below is a slideshow with many of the people.

As you'll notice, there's a core nucleus of Molecular alumni who are working as part of the leadership team at WordStream and C Space.  Plus, two digital consulting firms have spun-off since: Cantina and Ayantek.

We also have some great flashback pictures in the slideshow! A special "thank you" goes out to Ralph Folz and Howard Kogan for their help on reviewing this list.
