Sean Doherty, MD, FACS, grew up in Dedham,MA and is an expert in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Doherty attended Dedham High, Columbia University (BA in Art History) and Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery training at St. Elizabeth's in Boston and his plastic surgery training at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was certified by the American board of Plastic Surgeons in 2010.
Dr. Doherty is a speaker, trainer for Allergan and he is on their Facial and Plastic Surgery Advisory Boards and is the Medical Director and a Principal Investigator for Cynosure, He is in private practice and sees patients for cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery in Concord, Brookline and Boston, MA. www.seandohertymd.com
Conrad Ruiz, B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, grew up in Miami, FL and is an entrepreneur trying to bring biomedical science to the cosmetics industry.
Mr. Ruiz just recently graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering. For his senior project, he and his team were taking a protein known for its relation to wound healing within the body. What they’d discovered was an opportunity to use this wound healing protein in the cosmetics space.
Mr. Ruiz is currently working toward his MBA, all while his Cofounder Drew Derubeis starts work at a law firm. Mr. Ruiz is pursuing the start of his company full-time. Meanwhile, he resides near WPI trying to push the entrepreneurial mindset in Worcester, MA.
Mary Lisa Stoll is the Executive Director of Clinical Education at Cynosure, Hologic’s Aesthetic Division, located in Westford, MA.
Mary’s clinical background includes laser and light based device education, clinical study management, medical software design and operating room nursing.
Mary’s OR experience led her to software development contributing to the design of two peri-operative clinical information platforms at Dynamic HealthCare Technologies and Contec Medical.
She was integrally involved in the launch and management of Massachusetts’s first franchise laser clinic concept which set the stage for her career at preeminent laser and light based companies.
While at Palomar Medical, Mary worked closely with the R&D groups and managed the clinical trials for a joint venture with Gillette to develop and gain FDA clearance of a laser based home use device for hair removal. In a similar role at Cynosure, in a collaborative project with Unilever, Mary managed the clinical studies that led to the clearance of a diode based home use laser for the treatment of peri-occular and peri-oral wrinkles.
Mary has acted as the sub-investigator on multiple clinical studies and contributed to the clearances of 15 commercial laser and light based devices.
She is a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery serving on various society committees and contributing many abstracts and posters over the years. Mary recently completed a three year term as the Nursing/Allied Health ASLMS board member. In 2015, Mary received the prestigious Excellence in Laser Nursing Award, which recognizes outstanding nursing contributions to the ASLMS and to the advancement of joint practice in laser medicine and surgery. She received her BS, R.N. from Quinnipiac University.
