The Project Financial Reporting Analyst, Const & Prop assists in the reporting of capital projects and programs from a budget, forecast and reporting aspect to support the Construction and Properties / Facilities department. This role will provide guidance and aid to multiple business segments including Retail and Non-Retail Business Units. This position will also participate in cross-functional capital projects with internal CVS departments.
Primary duties include annual capital budgeting, monthly forecasting and department reporting. Additional duties include various business analytics and ad-hoc analysis.
Work with Retail and Non-Retail management and external groups to develop the departments annual budget plan, tied to corporate initiatives and support of the existing store base and business initiatives.
Support multiple department managers with financial reporting, accruals, forecast and budget requirements
Special projects and ad-hoc analysis prepare financial documentation required to account for all expense and capital costs associated with various projects (planned and unplanned)
Assist in the development of quarterly capital accruals
Prepare annual development and training sessions for capex requirements for the department as well as provide on-board capital training for new department associates when required
Review and approve department capex retail store invoices utilizing Service Channel and retail corporate invoices and tracking
Distribute weekly/monthly capital expenditure reporting
3 to 5 years experience in corporate/operational budgeting or similar financial reporting field
Strong PowerPoint and 2 or more years of Excel experience including: strong experience using functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, filters, etc.
Knowledge of Access, Tableau and SQL preferred
Knowledge of SAP / SAP S4/HANA preferred
Knowledge of Hyperion Planning and SmartView / Essbase preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate across many levels of the organization
Attention to detail, able to work in a team environment and have the drive to acquire new skills and a self starter is essential
Bachelors Degree, with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred
High School Diploma or GED required
