Senior Financial Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team. This person will report to the Director of FP&A. You will provide accurate and databased information on the company's profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity. You will research and analyze financial information to help the company make well informed and data driven decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.
Responsibilities
Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.) taking into account the company's goals and financial standing.
Analyze and report on current financial status.
Conduct thorough research of historical financial data
Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports and presenting findings, analyses and recommendations.
Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support
Prepare and compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
Participate in budgeting and forecasting (for departments and projects)
Review accounting transactions for data accuracy
In coordination with Sales Operations create and distribute variable compensation plans
Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions
Excellent attention to detail, strong problem solving skills, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and work successfully and effectively on cross-functional teams
Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout EDB
Requirements
Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role, minimum 5 yrs.
Technology (SaaS) industry experience with an understanding of Annual Recurring Revenue (and associated metrics) is highly desirable.
Experience with major reporting tools such as NetSuite, Adaptive Insights and Salesforce.com strongly preferred.
Advanced analytical and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets experience required (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
Experience in detailed financial modeling and three-statement analysis
Experience developing variable compensations plans is highly desirable
Experience in a global work environment is highly desirable.
General understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
Excellent communication skills and the ability to distill complicated information into clear and succinct summaries
Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
BS degree in Finance and Accounting, Master degree is a plus.
