Is there anything that you’d like to share regarding promoting diversity across your company and hiring practices?

At BCG, we strive for a diverse workplace. It is fundamental to our success that we accept, value, and incorporate the contribution of people from a wide variety of backgrounds. The diversity of thought, expertise, experience, and knowledge is crucial to creating an environment in which creative tensions exist, and new ideas emerge.

We are committed to making BCG a company in which all individuals have an opportunity to flourish and succeed, regardless of their background, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

From a big picture point of view, what experience or traits do you typically look for when interviewing and hiring new employees into this group at BCG?

We seek a broad range of skills—from digital to interpersonal to analytical—to work with the most influential organizations in the world, helping them compete in today’s fast-paced environment and build their future. The work we do every day—going deep to discover critical insights and having the courage to break new ground—requires leaders, thinkers, and achievers.

What can someone expect during the interview process?

Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to be the best in their specialty as required by the role they will fill. Some interviews may be conducted remotely by video, so access to a computer with a video camera, in a place free from disturbance, is recommended. In some instances, a case study will need to be prepared in advance of an interview and presented to a hiring manager.

What can people expect throughout their career at BCG’s Product Business Unit?

Support, fun, hard work, community volunteering, fulfilling work, flexibility, interesting work, and opportunities to learn and grow.

Are your employees involved in any charitable organizations?

At BCG, we foster an atmosphere across the firm that values social impact both during and outside of the workday. Local offices organize community service days and volunteer activities, allowing our employees to participate in mentoring and tutoring, clothing and food drives, awareness campaigns, and much more. We also encourage employees to leverage the skills honed at BCG by serving as board members for nonprofit organizations about which they’re personally passionate.

BCG is an incredibly supportive environment that looks after the well-being of its employees. Just recently the local BCG office hosted a wellness week that featured meditation sessions, adult coloring activities, nutrition counseling, flu shots, and biometric screenings. The events were enjoyed by everyone and we’re all healthier for the experiences. These kind of events are on-going and often. BCG is a fantastic place to work.
