About Recorded Future and what they do
Recorded Future is a SAS security intelligence provider. So we're empowering our clients to make security decisions using our intelligence cloud. And that's a suite of products and services that can be really tailored to fit any security ecosystem. So primarily, we're doing data collection that spans open deep, and dark web, and then indexing that with machine learning so that our customers can draw correlations across many different sources, and, and deliver actionable intelligence to all types of security teams.
Details on their Intelligence Services team
Intelligence Services is really responsible for all aspects of customer success across our client base. We're a team of about 200 people globally. And that includes professional services, engineers integration, support, training and enablement for all levels of security professionals using our products. We have customer success managers, and 24/7 global support, and the team that I manage, which is our intelligence consultants. And that's a premium offering within our Customer Success Program.
A look at the day-to-day responsibilities
Our consultants, first, you know, their security and intelligence practitioners from a really diverse range of security and threat intelligence disciplines. And each consultant has a portfolio of clients. That could be really from any sector or industry vertical, their job is to understand the customer security ecosystem and the unique challenges that they're facing, and to advise on the most effective use of our data and technology in order to accomplish their goals and strategic outcomes. So we're working tirelessly with our clients to maximize the value that they get from the product at every level, that is from the security analyst with daily triage responsibilities, security directors responsible for satisfying priority intelligence requirements, and even with Cisco and executive teams formulating an overarching security strategy. So our goal is to become deeply embedded into their workflows and, and the processes of their security teams and give decision-makers basically everything that they need at their fingertips to make the most difficult decisions as quickly as possible. So all of that said that day-to-day as a consultant is really driven by the customer lifecycle. It includes bi weekly, monthly or quarterly touchpoints, where responding to critical requests, typically around data flows are nice use cases, we're developing success strategies, so that we're growing and maturing our partnership with our client security program. And we're deploying best practices as well as new features within our technology.
What to expect during the interview process
Within intelligence services, interview process typically is focusing or evaluating three kind of main areas, we want experience as a practitioner, and the candidate can demonstrate fluency within particular security or intelligence discipline. So that also means kind of the deep knowledge that are associated with the threat landscape around that area. Every position does require a degree of technical knowledge and comprehension, particularly that's within the context of cybersecurity functions, but also concepts relevant to software as a service, that we're a SaaS company. And the other aspect is soft skills relevant to customer success. And sort of how much or little of each of those things kind of varies depending on the position for the intelligence consultant position, the capstone of the interview process is actually a demo live demo, doing an intelligence workflow within the Recorded Future portal. And that's reviewed by a panel of hiring managers. So for us, this gives the candidate an opportunity to showcase their strengths. And the interviewers get to see how the candidate performs in a scenario that's very familiar and common to what we're normally doing with our clients.
Why now is the ideal time to join
I think I think right now is an ideal time to join Recorded Future because security, intelligence has never been more relevant to doing business in the global economy. I think we're at an inflection point, kind of in human history, where technological development and advancement is creating enormous opportunity for wealth and prosperity. And along with that comes enormous opportunity for criminals and threat actors. The cyber threat landscape has become incredibly diverse and complex at a really rapid pace. And Recorded Future is at the tip of the spear providing the capabilities to combat those threats. So our users have, I think, unprecedented responsibility within their organizations to protect, you know, the crown jewels and the important things that they need to protect and the problems that they're presented can have profound impacts on the company and on their customers. So in many ways, we say that Recorded Future we're in the business of improving people's lives. And I think that if people are passionate about that vision, then they're probably a very good fit for RecordedFuture.
