Brief Overview:
The Head of Behavioral Health Solutions will lead the comprehensive BH business unit including US Payer & Provider along with International BH offerings. The successful incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing Amwells Behavioral Health go-to-market strategy and driving revenue growth, including overseeing the relevant P&L for all BH programs and services. This role will be critical to leading cross-functional efforts to bring new BH Solutions and enhancements to market directly translating to increased growth revenue within the BH space. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in Behavioral Health and US & Global Payer & Provider Markets along with possessing and a deep understanding of digital health technologies & services.
Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze US & International Payer & Provider BH trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities that can drive company growth
- Lead strategic development and execution of the BH units end-to-end Go to Market (GTM) Solutions Plan / Roadmap in order to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Develop market segmentation solution strategy to drive expansion and growth in US Payer and Provider markets as well as with the National Health System in the UK and IRE
- Understand market dynamics and opportunities for competitive positioning and differentiation
- Responsible for P & L of Amwells Behavioral Health unit
- Establish and track BH Solution performance metrics and KPIs
- Lead solution packaging, pricing, and sales guidelines
- Develop strong proof points and ROI models for Amwell BH solutions
- Establish and manage relationships with US & International Provider & Payer organizations to identify and secure new BH sales opportunities in addition to greater adoption of our digital behavioral health solutions
- Lead cross-functional stakeholders in coordination of product launches and lifecycle management through post-product launch performance and revenue & margin results
- Influence software, hardware and service team roadmaps to drive outcomes for the BH solution
- Own and Maintain BH Solution documentation and availability through the GTM process
- Serve as BH champion/expert internally and externally for the business including presentations at conferences, client forums, and webinars.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement to develop external sales assets, demand generation plans, and internal training for sales and accounts management teams
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field; MBA preferred
- 15+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, with at least five years in Behavioral Health
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building successful relationships within payer and provider markets
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly in the behavioral health space and digital health technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
- Proven history of building and inspiring high-performing teams with a track record of achieving results
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify strategic opportunities and drive execution
- Some experience/familiarity with the UK and IRE National Health Systems
- Prior experience leading a P&L

The typical base salary range for this position is $216,320 - $297,440. The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role. Some roles may be commission based, in which case the total compensation will be based on a commission and the above range may not be an accurate representation of total compensation.
